Description:

Georg Jensen silver flatware Acanthus sterling silver 925. Acanthus silver flatware pattern # 180. Luncheon cutlery.
Acanthus dinner fork no. 012 length 18.1 cm. 7 1/8 inches.
Fine condition, normal signs of use.
Designed by the painter, Johan Rohde, and produced since 1917. Johan Rohde, who lived for a time in Italy, was inspired by the antique style. This shows in the cutlery's pillar shaped handle which ends in a Corinthian capital with acanthus leaves. Johan Rohde began his close and lifelong association with Georg Jensen in 1906.
